911 ALERT is an essential voice-free panic alert service that obviates the need for a client to identify themselves verbally, or give their location or any other details of their situation or condition. It is ideally suited to families with children, the elderly, as well as single women, and those living on their own.
Using advanced GSM technologies and Netcare 911 's extensive resources and experience, 911 ALERT now provides a single point of contact for any medical emergency, a cellphone-based panic button, which instantly alerts a Netcare 911 call centre co-ordinator to their distress call.
Activation of the 911 ALERT facility immediately initiates a sequence of assistance to the client. Firstly, the call center co-ordinator will attempt to reach the person telephonically, in addition the cell phone number will be routed via a positioning server, enabling the caller's position to the identified and mapped instantaneously, giving an indication of the location of the distress call.
The location of the cell phone will be pinpointed to within approximately 200 metres of the person's location dependant on the area and interaction with other cell phone signals and proximity to the nearest cell masts.

The utmost privacy is ensured at all times as NETCARE 911 will only identify your cell phone position in emergency situations or where your consent is given.
The call center co-ordinator will then systematically interface with other emergency response services and communicate via conference call with friends, relatives and medical care-givers, to ascertain the exact nature of the distress call and send out the appropriate response unit.
Finally, the individual's current medical condition, details of chronic medication and current ailments or allergies are transmitted to paramedics and the appropriate care facility, ensuring the correct clinical management.
A registration procedure for 911 ALERT occurs at inception. The client is sent an sms detailing the steps to register and how to save the emergency alert number into their cell-phone.
